The importance of early childhood learning

Early childhood is a vital time in a person’s life, when our brains develop fast and soak up information like sponges. Everything we do, see and hear in our early years influences the way we behave, live and learn later on in life.

Young children benefit from being in a nurturing environment that provides them with opportunities that maximize their potential and teaches them important life skills.

At Little Steps Early Learning, our qualified educators are guided by the Australian Government’s Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). This framework provides the foundation for quality early childhood education and helps facilitate children’s learning.

The EYLF has a specific emphasis on play-based learning and recognises the importance of communication and language as well as social and emotional development.

We create fun, educational programs that encourage children to have a strong sense of identity, connection and well being and to become effective communicators and confident learners.

Our Value and Philosophy

At Little Steps Early Learning, we believe every child deserves the best opportunity to develop their individual abilities, potential and talents.

That is why we provide children between 6 weeks and 5 years of age with a fun, safe and stimulating environment and qualified educators to facilitate their play-based learning.

Care and respect
We care for and respect all children and their families, our fellow educators and other staff, our community and our precious environment.

Individual exploration
We find it important to allow children to observe, explore and question their learning environment in our centre and let them experience it in their own way.

Fun learning and development
We make sure our learning environment and development programs are fun and interactive so the children enjoy spending time in our centre.

Communication and connection
We believe in good communication and a strong connection between the educator and the children as well as between the educator and the child’s family.
