Our Story
Little Steps Early Learning delivers a holistic program for children aged 6 weeks – 5 years that is responsive to children’s interests, needs, strengths and fostering their curiosity , to support their learning and development. Our curriculum has been devised in alignment with the National Quality Framework. We value an approach to early learning which develops children’s autonomy and self-efficacy, and which recognizes them as free, active, feeling and thinking human beings, seeing patterns and making connection, empower child independence through intentional teaching and stimulate curiosity and critical thinking in the classroom.
We are very committed to creating an inclusive learning environment that supports the holistic development of every individual child who attend in our care. We provide opportunity for children to develop their creativity, relationships and life skills in a safe and relaxed environment, strengthening their emerging talents and abilities. Thus why our motto is “Learning through discovery”.

At Little Steps Early Learning educators play a vital role in developing a supportive educational environment that is based on intentional teaching moments. Staff engage in reflective practice, professional development and actively contribute to the wider early childhood community. We are guided by current world-wide Early Childhood practice.
Our learning environment provide the opportunities for children to reach their potential, in all areas of their development: physical health and wellbeing, social, emotional, language and cognitive, and spiritual.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan
Little Steps Early Learning proud to published its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in 2021, and we are very proud to be multicultural centre which value and respect diversity.
Families and Communities Involvement
At Little Steps Early Learning, we believe respect for each child and family is paramount and is expressed through listening, observing, and interacting with families. We recognize that the family is the child’s first and most important carer and teacher. We embrace cultural diversity, respecting family’s diverse values, beliefs, cultural backgrounds, traditions, life experiences and knowledge and families are encouraged to share their culture, language and experiences with educators and staff.
Families are encouraged to take an active role in our daily operation of the Centre by providing feedback, contributing to decision-making, and participating in our education program.
The Team and Relationship with Our Children
At Little Steps Early Learning, educators are dedicated professionals that value the importance of maintain high quality care and education with children. We strive to have a positive work environment with team members who support each other, respect each other as individuals and establish open communication, encouraging honesty and sensitivity to the feelings of others. We strive to have a team that works together to provide the best possible environment and program for each child and family.
As a team we pride ourselves on building trusting relationships with the children through various activities, and the children feel supported and cared for from the start which is evident in our orientation process, always educators spend quality time with children so as getting to know them, their likes, dislikes, interests and being able to response to their needs and requirements.
Health and Safety
All our Little Steps Early Learning centres are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment through adherence to comprehensive policies and procedures and managing risks and hazards appropriately and effectively.
We believe in quality education and care in an environment that provides for all children’s protection through adequate supervision, safe experiences and environments, and vigilance to potential risks.
The importance of children’s nutritional and physical health needs will be promoted by educating children about a healthy lifestyle which will be reinforced through the everyday routines and experiences. Information on health, hygiene, safe food, and dental care principles and practices will be displayed at the Service to provide families with further information.
Sustainability Commitment
Little Steps Early Learning is committed to adopt practices and procedures that work towards providing an environment that is cleaner and healthier for all whilst supporting sustainability and increase our awareness of its importance. We aim to incorporate sustainable practices into all aspects of our Service operations, decision making and values to minimise our impact on the environment.
